Academic Program:? Ayurveda Yoga Therapist Certification Eligibility: Higher school or Graduate or Masters Duration: 3 months Place of study: On campus. and partially online Introduction: Ayurveda is the traditional Yoga Therapy system of India. While Ayurveda is a complete medical science, Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy focuses on the practices of Yoga and how they participate in the healing process. Course Structure: Philosophy: Sankhya and Vedanta. Ayurvedic Principles: Five element theory, Tridosha, Qualities of Nature, The five pranas. Vedic Psychology: The three gunas, prana, tejas, ojas, the nadi, the five koshas, seven bodies and seven chakras. Yoga: The eight limbs of raja yoga are taught within the context of healing. Emphasis is placed on learning how to utilize the practices of asana, pranayama and pratyahara for healing. Anatomy: Basic Study of Skeletal system, Digestive system, Muscular system, Lymphatic System, Endocrine System, Nervous system, Cardiovascular system, etc. This program includes lecture, practice, and teaching and at least two hours of asana class each day.
